Re   An invitation to hike the Nature Trails of Lambton Shores & Vicinity (LS&V)

‘YOUTH OUTREACH’ will be the focus of LSNT throughout 2013.  Three(3) Spring and two(2) Fall Nature Trail Hikes have been planned for 2013 and we would like to invite your members and their families, friends and visitors to join us. On request, we offer additional guided Nature Trail Hikes for groups of six(6) or more.  Please notify your members of this invitation and ask them to spread the word.

It is no longer a secret – LS&V is blessed with some spectacular ‘Gems of Nature’:  Miles of sandy beaches along the shores of Lake Huron – forested dune lands & rare oak savanna – provincially significant coastal wetlands – deep & extensive ravines in the Ausable River Valley and the Parkhill Creek Valley – remnant prairie lands – Devonian Fossil Beds in Arkona & Thedford – ‘Kettle Concretions’ at Kettle Point – and more.  In 2012 LSNT volunteers have upgraded the trails through some of these ‘Gems of Nature’ and we look forward to have area residents and visitors, especially the young, explore these special places with us.

The centre-fold in the Lambton Shores 2013 Leisure Guide provides an overview of the LSNT Vision and the Nature Trails in LS&V. Regular updates of LSNT plans, projects, trail maps, hikes & events, etc. are available on our website:  www.lsntblazers.com

Also, please extend an invitation to your members to join us for our May 4th Saturday Evening

‘Stepping into Spring Fundraiser Dance’ at the Port Franks Community Centre

– For Tickets please contact Linda Attard  243-1596.

 Thank you,     Klaus
