Sunshine Basket Needed

Barb Weido is requesting that those who would like to do so to contribute a small gift to a Sunshine Basket to let Bernice Hill know that we are thinking of her while she is recuperating. Bernice enjoys reading and, as you may know, is interested in nature and ecology.  Whatever you feel would be a small token to brighten Bernice’s day would be appreciated.  Should you wish to take part in this, you could bring your wrapped gift to our stitching group or could take it to Barb Weido’s home at 9988 Old River Road.  If you could do this by January 19th, that would be perfect.  You may like to add a card or small note to Bernice in your small gift.
Thanks Jacqui

Quilters, Lovers of Quilts and any other Interested Parties

Diane Carson is requesting old quilts for a show in Exeter from March 25th to March 26th. The quilts should be of an antique nature and have a history or herstory to go with the quilt. She also needs volunteers to wear white gloves and show off the quilts in 2-hour time periods. If you would like your quilt to be considered or would like to volunteer, please contact Diane.

There is another show in London – The Canadian Quilters Association being held from May 25 to 28. Diane also needs white-gloved volunteers for two-hour shifts on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday. This is a national juried show with lots of beautiful quilts. If interested, please contact Diane for your choice of times.
