Thank you!!

A monster size “THANK YOU” to the approximately 21 volunteers who responded to our request for help this afternoon.  “THANK YOU” as well to the ones who showed up this morning (by mistake?😊) and did an amazing amount of work.

Thanks to you all, we completed the job and actually did a couple more unplanned tasks.  Therefore, we do not need volunteers tomorrow (Tuesday).

Hope you can all come to the Director’s Open House for a celebration next Sunday, December 1 from 1-4.

Thanks again.

Once more before winter

I know the weather is definitely not Spring-like, but I need you to don your scarves and mitts one more time this year.

The last rain drains are installed on the driveway to the canoe rack area and the last gravel was delivered Friday.  I’m hoping a whole bunch of you will come with shovels and rakes next Wednesday, Nov 13, at 9:00 AM to help spread the gravel.  It is dumped in a couple of places on the driveway to make it easier for us.  All action will move downhill.

I’m hoping about a dozen volunteers will arrive to help.  Should not take more than an hour if we get enough people.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Social Committee News

After 10 years as Chair of the Social Committee, Ginger Weber is embarking on a well-earned retirement. Given her busy schedule as our First Lady of Lambton Shores, Ginger has done an amazing job just finding time to organize Social Committee events. If she was a sports star we would be retiring her jersey number! Thank you, Ginger, for your commitment to our community.

Ginger will remain as a member of the Social Committee. Lucky for us, her experience and enthusiasm will continue to benefit Huron Woods residents.

Effective immediately, Ginger is turning Social Committee Chair responsibilities over to Mary Lynn Hill (marylynnhill@hay.net) and Mary White (mjwhitehouse@hay.net). Feel free to contact them with event ideas or questions.
