Donation Tree

The expansion of the clubhouse in 2010-11 received great financial support from a number of members who hosted, among other things, galas and raffles to help defray some of the capital costs.

The Donation Tree located at our Clubhouse has proved to be a tremendous success in raising funds for the Clubhouse renewal and recognizing those who have been so generous. The beautiful tree was created by Bill Clawson of Sarnia and was unveiled at the Grand Opening of the Enhanced Clubhouse on September 16, 2011. The tree gives us the opportunity to continually recognize contributions to maintain and further enhance the Clubhouse through a program called Our Tree of Collective Memories.

It is an opportunity for us to celebrate and “immortalize” the special occasions, important people and treasured moments in our lives and within our Community.  Events such as the birth of a child, a graduation, a special birthday, a significant friendship, a marriage, a life well lived are all events that this tree can honour and commemorate.

A donation of $100.00 (or more if you so desire) will add a “leaf” to our Donation Tree.  Each leaf can be engraved to a maximum of 3 lines – 16 spaces per line.  Leaf donations will be put toward various projects that aim to further develop and improve the Clubhouse facility for the enjoyment of our membership.

As the leaves “collect” over time Our Tree of Collective Memories will become a living legacy to all that is great and good in Huron Woods.  It will create a sense of “history” within our Community that can be enjoyed by the future generations who will have the good fortune to live here in Huron Woods. Our thanks to all who have donated to the fund-raising efforts which have resulted in donations of over $25,000.
